Kay La Plain

Kay La Plain was born and educated in England and comes from a long line of avid gardeners. She has studied Landscape Design and Environmental Horticulture at Foothill College and strives keep her knowledge of plant material and design concepts current. It is Kay’s feeling that the wonderful California climate gives us the opportunity to live outdoors. She aims create spaces for entertaining, nature, relaxation and play that appeal to the whole family.

Kay has been a long term volunteer at Villa Montalvo, Saratoga and has been involved in the renovation of the Cactus and Succulent Garden and the Italian Garden. She is a member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers and Western Horticulture Society.

Her goal is to work in partnership with her clients to provide landscapes that are beautiful, harmonious and sustainable and a reflection their owner’s personality
